Full House Repairs

Insurance & Workmanship

Information about how Full House Repairs approaches insurance, workmanship, warranties and realistic repair expectations.

Property repair work often involves existing components and hidden conditions, so it is important to distinguish between the workmanship we provide, the condition of the existing property and any separate manufacturer warranty attached to a replacement product or part.

FULLY INSURED

Full House Repairs is insured for the work it undertakes. Specific insurance information can be provided where reasonably required for a job, landlord, managing agent or commercial client.

Insurance does not replace sensible job assessment, access planning or the need for specialist regulated contractors where a particular type of work falls outside the service being provided.

CARE & WORKMANSHIP

We aim to carry out agreed work with reasonable care and skill, using suitable methods and materials for the job.

Our workmanship warranty is 12 months from completion for the labour and workmanship we have carried out, subject to the exclusions and conditions in our Terms & Conditions. If you believe there is a problem with our workmanship, contact us with the job details and photos where useful so it can be reviewed.

EXISTING & HIDDEN FAULTS

Repairs can sometimes reveal pre-existing damage or hidden faults that were not visible beforehand. Examples include damaged surrounding timber, corroded fittings, failed fixings, previous alterations or additional components that only become visible once the original item is removed.

If that happens, we will explain what has been found and discuss the next step. Additional work that falls outside the original agreed scope may be separately chargeable.

PARTS & MANUFACTURERS

Replacement parts and products may carry their own manufacturer warranties or conditions. These are separate from the labour involved in fitting them.

Manufacturer cover can depend on the product, supplier and circumstances of failure. Client-supplied materials and products remain subject to the limitations set out in our Terms & Conditions, particularly where the fault relates to the supplied item rather than the fitting workmanship.
