A straightforward process from first contact through to completion.
Providing clear information at the start helps us understand the job, plan the right type of visit and reduce unnecessary delays. The exact process varies depending on whether the work is a simple repair, a quoted job, an emergency call-out or a job requiring specially ordered parts.
Call, WhatsApp or email with a brief description of the job, your location and photos where possible.
Useful information includes what has gone wrong, how long the problem has been present, the property postcode, any make or model details and whether there are access or parking restrictions. For urgent faults, calling is usually the quickest route.
We review the information you provide and may ask for additional photos, measurements or details before deciding the next step.
Some straightforward jobs can be discussed in advance, while others require an inspection before the cause, required parts or full scope can be confirmed. Glazing, specialist hardware and hidden faults commonly need measurement or investigation first.
Before work begins, we confirm the agreed scope and discuss the pricing basis, known material requirements and any deposit that applies.
For quoted work, the quotation sets out the agreed job. For hourly or emergency work, the relevant labour or call-out structure applies. If you need written approval before work starts, please mention this when arranging the job.
We carry out the agreed work with care using suitable methods and materials for the repair.
If removing a component or opening up the work exposes additional damage, incompatible parts or another fault, we will explain what has been found. Where reasonably possible, separately chargeable additional work will not be carried out until the next step has been discussed with you.
Once the agreed work is complete, the work area is left tidy and payment is dealt with according to the agreed terms.
If a return visit is needed because a part, sealed glass unit or other item has to be ordered, we will explain what remains outstanding. Workmanship is covered in line with our published Terms & Conditions, while manufacturer warranties for supplied products remain subject to the relevant manufacturer’s terms.
