Clear pricing matters. This page explains the standard labour structure, emergency call-out charges, materials, deposits and how additional work is handled.
Where a fixed quotation has been agreed for a particular job, that quotation takes priority for the work it covers. Quotations are normally valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
Standard booked labour: £90 for the first hour, followed by £40 per hour thereafter, charged in 30-minute increments.
The first-hour charge covers the initial attendance and labour for the first hour. Where a job is better suited to a fixed quotation rather than hourly labour, the quoted price will be agreed separately before the work proceeds.
Parts and materials are charged separately unless specifically included in an agreed quotation. Where possible, expected material costs will be discussed before items are ordered or fitted.
Jobs over £500 normally require a 25% deposit. A deposit of up to 50% may be required where significant materials, bespoke items, specialist products or substantial preparation costs are involved.
Emergency / out-of-hours call-out: £150. This covers attendance, initial diagnosis and reasonable make-safe work within the call-out.
Additional emergency work is charged at £90 per hour with a minimum one-hour labour charge, with parts and materials charged separately where required. The likely charge and scope will be explained as clearly as possible before attendance or additional work.
If extra faults, hidden damage or additional work are discovered after the job starts, we will explain what has been found and discuss the additional cost before proceeding where reasonably possible.
No estimate can account for every concealed or pre-existing problem, so repairs that expose further damage may require a revised price, additional time or a return visit. You remain in control of whether separately chargeable additional work is authorised.
